Policies
We love yarn, plain and simple. In all its glorious forms, from bulky hand-dyed merino to sublime lace through to funky new patterns, unique hand-made accessories and beyond. We can't get enough and we just know you feel the same way. There is simply no turning back once the yarn bug hits!
YarnCollective provides an outlet for small quality 'artisan' shops through to established stores based in Australia to showcase their yarn wares. Each store is run separately but our communal focus is on outstanding quality, fantastic customer service and our love of yarn. Treat YarnCollective as your own personal yarn shopping mall. Enjoy window shopping or some serious retail therapy.
Here is how YarnCollective works:
* You place your order
* If it is from multiple stores the orders are distributed out to the individual stores.
* Each individual stores gets back to you regarding payment method, shipping and any other relevant information.
* You pay (all prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where appropriate)
* You get your yarn/accessories fix once payment is finalised!
Please remember that each store is the responsibility of the individual store owner so please check their policies, shipping, warranties etc prior to purchasing. If you have any queries about a specific products/policy please contact the relevant store owner through the Contact Us page.
Buying Formats
We have two buying formats available on YarnCollective. One is the Buy It Now system where you see the products, hit the Buy Now button and it is yours (if someone hasn't beaten you to it that is ;) ).
Second is our Auction system. YarnCollective runs all auctions via the Proxy Bid system meaning that your bid is automatically adjusted to the next amount above the last bid. Say you are bidding on a skein of hand-dyed yarn - your bid is $7.50 and the last bid before you is $7.00 you will have the highest bid at $7.25 (as we work on 25cent increments). Please only bid on an auction if you intend to pay. Your bid is viewed as a contract of sale between yourself and the store owner.
Although we are confident (as much as humanly possible!) in the fantastic stores which are on this site, YarnCollective holds no responsibility for any aspect of any sales in any way made from this site. Please check the policies, warranties, returns and any other relevant information from the individual store/s you are buying from prior to making your purchase. We would love to hear about your yarn shopping experiences :)
