A Little About My Yarns:
All my yarns come from a smoke free home and are stored in a dust free environment. We have two pet budgies, which do not go anywhere near the yarns.
I try to use mostly Australian yarns, except for sock yarn, some of which I source from Germany.
Each skein is hand painted or kettle dyed individually, one at a time. This means that no two skeins are alike, and are unlikely to ever be reproduced, so you get a truly unique product! Feel free to contact me if you would like me to custom dye a larger quantity of yarn for a big project.
My dyeing method ensures colour fastness, and after dyeing, all my yarns are rinsed well. However, there is always a chance that there may be some residual colour running in the first wash, which is why I'd recommend washing your knitted garment separately for the first time... or at least not with your favourite whites, just to be on the safe side. ;-)
There is the odd join/knot in the yarns, however that is normal and inevitable. Slight variations in colour/colour depth are also normal and part of the charm of hand-dyed yarn.
I don't have a ball winder, so am unable to offer a ball winding service at this point (plus skeins are easier to mail).
Finally, please keep in mind that even though I do my best to take photos that accurately depict the colours of the yarns, there may be variations depending on your monitor settings. The colours are generally a bit brighter in real life than they appear on the photos. If in doubt, please ask and I'm happy to supply further pictures if it helps. :-)
